Jack Fitzpatrick's death managed to undo what took forty-some-odd years of secrets, bickering and alienation to build.

MISSION STATEMENT

Filmmakers Luis Remesar (writer/director) and Beth Dolan (writer/producer) have carefully crafted their feature film script THE CLARITY OF MUD to take advantage of the exploding popularity and cost-effectiveness of the digital video format and its pristine transfer to film to maintain the budget in the "micro" range, and thus insure a high financial return.

In the same spirit of such critically and financially successful films as THE BIG CHILL, THE FULL MONTY, and most recently THE ROYAL TENENBAUMS and MY BIG, FAT, GREEK WEDDING, THE CLARITY OF MUD is driven by an ensemble of complex and real characters -- both family and friends -- who have joined together at "Jack's Own Hole" (the Fitzpatrick family's fishing camp) in Tom's River, New Jersey to bid farewell to Jack, their deceased patriarch.
